5-3-09-6 and 7

After a birthday party last night for friend Pixie, who is turning 60, I had the need to work with exuberant color today. So I selected two images from early May, on what must've been a day of the explosiveness of spring. I'm posting four images here from May 3, the two original pieces, the second one being the "ghost" of the first piece. Then there are the two pieces with pastel.
I think there is an explanation of what is meant by "ghost" buried somewhere in an earlier post. Basically, you run a plate and you get a monoprint. If you run that same plate a second time, without drawing back onto the plate, you get a "ghost" of the first image - usually much lighter and paler than the orignal.
