Visiting the annual studio sale of my friend, Roselle Abramowitz, today sent me soaring into the lyricism of color. Roselle is a fabric artist, and creates poetic garments, primarily in the style of kimono, to be worn by confident and adventuresome women. (I bought two.) Between Roselle and Helen Frankenthaler, you have these two pieces that resulted today, both originally from April 18. I grabbed HF's "The Woodcuts" on my way into the studio, and indeed wished Helen could have been at Roselle's sale.
