June 21, 09 - 5

Over the vacation, I drove down to Williamstown, MA for one of the most provocative exhibitions I have ever seen in my life, at the Sterling and Francine Clark Museum. The exhibition, "Circles of Influence," set out to illustrate and inform the aesthetic friendship between Arthur Dove and Georgia O'Keeffe. Lasting almost 30 years, the back and forth between the two was tangible and profound. This was the first piece I tackled upon return, and I acknowledge the definite influence from work in the show.

Mickey, I viewed Circles of Influence in June, have been awestruck ever since. Glad to know others were similarly affected. By the last gallery, tears of joy flowed.
Love your inspired and inspiring new piece. Keep on!
