I am particularly excited about this piece, because it is part of an experiment I have begun in the monoprint studio, printing the "ghosts" of several images on the same sheet of paper. The monoprint phase of this piece was 4 "ghosts," all drawn and printed the same day from the exact same location. It was a day of abundant color, which was conveyed by the layers of ghosts, that come through even more clearly after drawing with pastel into the image. I looked at a lot of the early work of Arthur Dove, and also at the Fauves before garnering the courage to draw into the print.

I sure do like your blog, and your work. I hear you're having a one woman show. where and when? Tom and I want to come for sure.
Hope you're well and by the looks of your work here, I'd say you are superb!
